Sail Through the Hurricane, Kimi Dake No Hikari

At the moment, my life ship's facing a new challenge....

Every night, while staring on the dark sky... That little star's always there, shining upon me and my ship.. Really bring back my memories.. About a bigger star which I've decided to left behind..

Is it better to try retrieving that little star or not ? This question brings me up and down every time the little star comes into my vision..

Till one day... A strong hurricane appears from nowhere, right in the middle of my ship and that star.. Is this the end for my retrieval journey ?

Whirlpool of confusions start to emerge everywhere.. It's not time to be trapped in this kind of thing.. Thus, I consult the condition to my Captain, whether it's time to leave the path or the opposite..

Almost losing my former target, a miraculous sign comes out.. The light from that single star is piercing through the giant hurricane toward me and my ship, clearing the cloud of unsureness and settling my decision...

So it's decided, I'll pass through that hurricane.. With the Captain on the steer, I should have never been afraid coz' nobody but Him knows the best for me.. Even the sight post of the little star still remains unseen, every time I've been blown out, I'll come back with more confidence until the right moment arrives... ^^

PO : Personal Obligation / Obliteration ?

Most Indonesian didn't want to become the PO for GTD-X (Get Together Day-10th), why's that ?

One said that the meetings are just too long and it needs a lot of commitment to stay focus, whereas tutorials and quizzes are still in progress. The other said that we must have a bunch of great ideas and it just doesn't fit his/her characteristic. Unfortunately, those thinkings couldn't convert my mind to not entering the selection and finally, here I am... as a PO with a lot of additional homework, but still enjoyable.

As time goes by, I learned much more than just thinking and thinking for ideas. Twice, my ideas are rejected and wasted, in which I've spent my free time exceptionally (where usually I'm watching anime/playing games). It's like : "Argh, damn it ... Why must I waste my time just to give useless ideas ?! Forget it, I quit !".

It's true that I'm quite frustrated, can't lie about that. However, compared to other failures I've experienced before (especially in Math Olympiad*), it's just nothing but a booster which gives motivation to try harder and harder. That's what building my heart and creating gap to losers which just gave up that easily. And the reason why I can resist is just because I've acquired the success itself by keep doing this before !!!

Once I've set a goal, no matter how many times I fall down, I won't collapse but stand up again and again, for the glory of His name and not for my own pleasure.

A decision has been made....
It's all started when I was taking a bath; thinking about my MIT's application, which is still in progress.

There're three possible outcome :
1. Rejected, then my only choice is NTU
2. Accepted
a) I accept ----> getting transferred into MIT
b) I don't accept ----> stay in NTU

Obviously, the only way I leave NTU is outcome 2.a), but it's not that simple. One big consideration is I need to pay a huge amount of money to break the Tuition Grant, which may be unaffordable. Besides, I've already planned a lot of targets to achieve in NTU and I thought that it'll be shameful if I failed my commitment; don't want to go over the same mistake again and again. Afterall, I need to confirm this with my life instructor, Jesus Christ and my parents.

So I prayed to Him, telling the truth and asking for correction if my decision is flawful...
As expected, it feels a lot better after I did that and the remaining's just to inform this to my parents. Well, a short phone call ,but quite meaningful : they didn't blame me and support me all the way unless I haven't verified this to Him.

One thing for sure, He'll advise me when mine's wrong and so I take the decision, leaving no worries and dissapointment. In any case, I have a plan to take the postgrad. in MIT later on so for now, it's time to get outsanding marks and build my network in NTU !

First Post - Introduction

As this is my first post, every ideas are just flying around but almost none of them is that important to be included, at least for now. So let's start with a brief introduction of myself.

My full name's Raymond Christopher Sitorus
Q : I think your fam's name is Christopher, how come ?
A : Well, actually it's because my name's just Raymond Christopher in my passport, so I must use/write that given name in most cases. People call me Raymond / Christopher / Ray / Mond / Chris / Mod(*)

Q : The last nick sounds weird ?
A : It got something to do with my past habit in solving Math problems. (Mod from Modulo and from the similarity with nick Mond)

I am studying in NTU, majoring Mathematical Science, first year.
Q : I've heard that u're planning to study at MIT, how's it going ?
A : That's right, and I'm still on the finishing stage, just wish me luck for now =)

I was born on 9 January 1991
Q : A freshman in such young age, huh ?
A : For me it's not the best part. 9/1/1991 is just very special, seeing from "Math" point of view, of course.

Q : So can I conclude that you really like Math ?
A : Truly my first interest; or my "big bro" ^^. I knew, from my childhood, that it's one of my extraordinary talent He's given me and I've been trying not to waste the gift.

Q : It means you've gained sucess with your Math skill ?
A : Yup, neither too much nor too little achievements 'till now. The last and maybe the best until now was the Silver Medal of International Math Olympiad (IMO) 2007, Hanoi (Vietnam).

Q : Since you do like Math, do you also like Computer ?
A : Yes, I have interest in Computer, especially programming. Of course because it needs logic, and sometimes not that simple. I love challenges ! =p

My favourite football club is Juventus
Q : And u also like footbal ?
A : Indeed, compared to other kind of sports.

Q : Your other favorite sport maybe ?
A : Swimming I think, quite effective and efficient for busy workers.

Playing piano is one of my refreshing activity other than playing game.
Q : That's nice, and what kind of music do you prefer ?
A : Pop and Jazz will do, plus a little Classical and Oldies.
